Watch 711 Hancock St. go from bare dirt to an energy-efficient affordable home!
Hi, we are happy to announce that ground was broken for the INHS SIPs (Structural Insulated Panels) home on September 15.
This project is part of the High Performance Residential Challenge in a cooperative effort with NYSERDA (New York State Energy Research & Design Authority). INHS is working with NYSERDA and a team of architects, engineers, designers and other building professionals to take the next step in energy efficient residential construction.
In addition, we are looking to keep with INHS’s mission of building affordable housing. This means that we will not just be looking at the latest energy efficient components and building methods, but we will also be taking proven technologies and applying them to the design and construction of this home with cost effectiveness in mind.
