Exterior Taking Shape

Finally, the exterior is getting attention. The house will really start to take on a finished look. Don’t be fooled, there’s plenty of slow-going finish work inside – it’s just not nearly so visible or exciting, unless you’re the contractor. We had a huge snow dump on February 25th which brought work to a temporary halt. Since then we’ve been experiencing more seasonal weather. You’re seeing the remains of the snow which has all but disappeared now. Spring may actually arrive on time and this house could be ready to sell for the typical homebuyers/shoppers time of year.

Making REAL Progress

These photos were taken just before the end of 2009. Unless you’re tuned to fine detail these photos won’t tell you much more than that real progress is being made. Yay! We are actually starting to think about an open house date – could be as early as late April (somewhere around Earth Week celebrations) – when INHS officially places the house on the market. We’re also making tentative plans to offer a workshop for folks who are interested in learning more about building with SIPs and the other energy-saving measures that we’ve incorporated.
